I started flying model helis in 1974. My first heli was a micro mold lark costing the princely sum of £65,it was fixed pitch and no tail gyro, great fun to fly as long as the wind did not blow.
Since then I have flown most makes and have been amazed at the rate of development in model design. In 1985 I started to fly competitively, cumulating in me becoming British National F3C Champion and Scottish F3C Champion in 1995. I have also represented the UK in European F3C events.
In 2003 I turned my hobby into my work by starting the SkidsnSkills flying school; a dream come true for me.
My current sponsors are Midland Helicopters, Robbe Schluter UK, MacGregor Industries and SkidsNSkills.
