ROTORMAST - Bell-Boeing V22 Osprey Tilt Rotor
This unique new model is the result of many years of development, the result is a fully working tilt rotor aircraft that flys both as a helicopter and aeroplane. The transition from helicopter mode to aeroplane is controlled via a sophisticated on-board micro-processor that manages pilot commands coupled to gyros on all three axis to provide "fly by wire" stabilised flight. The on-board control unit is supplied complete with USB interface enabling set-up and parameter changes via any Windows based pc, latest firmware can be downloaded free of charge from the Rotormast website.
This model is supplied as a "2 in 1" package, it can be built both in basic "profile" mode (receommended for set-up and test flights) and full scale mode using the superbly detailed and accurate epoxy glassfibre mouldings which come pre-painted, decals applied and trimmed ready to fit.
The model has been officially endorsed and licensed by Bell-Boeing Aircraft Company and is the only fully functioning tiltrotor aircraft available in the hobby industry today. It is a complex aircraft and is therefore recommended for experienced pilots.
