The flybar and all its associated mechanical parts in the rotor head are no longer indispensable components of the helicopter. Now this entire system can be replaced by an electronic set-up, the Virtual Flybar System (V-Bar). By setting parameters in a software module, pilots can control and modify in a very simple manner rotor head properties, such as, for instance, Bell / Hiller ratio or paddle weight. Just as with a Heading Hold gyro for the tail rotor function, you can now determine the cyclic speed for aileron and elevator control, which is then directly controlled by an electronic system.
